Enthusiasm is a LITTLE thing that makes a BIG difference.Anon

EDUCATION

It is self evident that enthusiasm creates success. To take the day, ones work, ones relationship with enthusiasm brings positivity and joy into one’s life. Try to motivate your children to be enthusiastic – this will result in happier, more successful learners.

TALENT EVENING

This will take place on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th September from 18:30 – 20:00. Entrance will be R10 per person due to the fact that we would like to upgrade the music room. Seats will not be allocated, but will be on a first come first served basis. Tickets can be brought from the office during both breaks from Monday 8 September.

ANNUAL NATIONAL ASSESSMENT

The 2014 cycle of Annual National Assessment will be administered in all public and designated independent schools from 16 – 19 September. During this period, all learners in Grades 1 – 6 will write nationally set tests in English and Mathematics. The results will be used to report progress related to achieving goals set in the action plan 2014, towards schooling 2025. A letter with more information was distributed this week.

FELLOW LEARNERS’ PROPERTY

This is an ongoing problem at the school and I am appealing to parents to have a word with their children regarding these very serious matters:

  • Learners may NOT tamper with, damage or hide away another learner’s property.
  • Learner may NOT take or use another learner’s property without permission. Each learner must have their own stationery and equipment.
  • Vandalism or meddling with anothers property is a serious offence.

I would really appreciate it if you could assist us in this serious matter. Thank you!
