The above quote illustrates the truth that difficulties can be character-building for the child. It’s neither possible nor desirable for parents to always shield the child from the knocks that school (and life) produce. When difficulties arise, try to persuade the child to adopt a positive approach to solving the problem – this is how they grow and develop.
Tuesday 23 February
Grade 4 – 7: Life Skills
Friday 26 February
Grade 7 ONLY: EMS
The Tuesday Group Test is very important as it makes up in
Grade 4 – 6, 30% and in Grade 7, 40% of the year mark.
Learners must attend school on Tuesdays.
Affiliation/Membership fees R1 550, admin and equipment R9 779, consumables R4 505, Foundation Phase stock and stationery R25 200, toilet cleaning R2 041, sports R1 050, trips and shows R2 810.
An appeal to parents to please check homework and homework diaries on a daily basis. The learners have work to do on a daily basis even if it is doing revision for the Group Test. I am already signing TOO many detention slips for poor work ethic or disruptive behaviour. When a detention slip is produced at home I would appreciate it if the matters on the slip is dealt with by the parents.
Thank you for your co-operation in this regard.
Please note our NEW TIMES:
Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:15 – 8:00.
Wednesday afternoon from 13:15 – 14:00.
We are running out of hangers so if parents are able to donate old hangers we would be very grateful.
