A teacher’s purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image.Anon

EDUCATION

One of the most fundamental truths regarding parenting is a “hands on” approach is central to success. Please be “hands on” before your children leave for school in the morning. Your checklist should include a personal and uniform inspection; are your children neat, clean and presentable; are shoes clean/polished; are socks pulled up; are shirts tucked in; is your child dressed in the full school uniform; is hair neat and does it conform to the requirements as set out in the School Code of Conduct, etc.? Being neat, clean, smartly dressed in the school uniform, having appropriate hairstyles, etc. are all observable manifestations that create a positive external image for our child and this, in turn, leads to a positive self image. Be “hands on” – check the physical appearance of your child on a daily basis.
