EDUCATION

Learners and parents must understand and accept that school work is not always fun there are things that simply need to be taught and, and such times it’s the task of the learner to sit down, be quiet, listen, concentrate and do the tasks set, irrespective of whether they find it difficult or boring, etc. The same applies in the home. Children do not automatically know the right thing to do or the correct and acceptable behaviour. These things need to be taught and constantly reinforced by the parent, through repetition and compulsion if necessary. Have rules, implement them consistently and apply sanctions to the child when he/she does not comply.
