SCHOOLING IS SERIOUS

Adherence by learners to the School Rules as contained in the School Code of Conduct and as listed each week in this Newsletter, is serious business and non-negotiable. Learners need to know that there are always rules (whether they like them or not), and that they are to be obeyed (whether they want to or not). That’s life, and we are not in a position, as a civilised society, to decide which rules we will obey and those that we choose to ignore. Non-compliance with rules (both at home and at school), gives rise to anti-social, poor and criminal behaviour that is to manifest in our society today.

Parents have a responsibility to ensure that their children comply with ALL the school rules, thereby facilitating an environment of safety and order within the school, to the benefit of all the learners.

FUND RAISING

The school is looking for assistance from parents regarding prizes for our Golf Day. Notices did go out informing parents of the event. Please feel free to contact Mrs Correia at the school if you are able to assist.

SPRING DAY ASSEMBLY

It will be much appreciated if every learner could bring a small posy of flowers to the school Assembly on MONDAY 31 AUGUST as part of our community outreach programme. These flowers will be delivered to local Old Age Homes after our Spring Assembly. If there are any parents who are able to assist with these deliveries please contact the office on (011) 793-7434/5. This day will also be Civvies Day and those wishing to participate in this event must please donate R5 to the Grade 7 fund. Parents must ensure that learners who participate are dressed in an acceptable, decorous fashion. There is absolutely no compulsion to participate and those who wish not to do so, must wear their school uniform on this day.

WINTER/SUMMER UNIFORM

There will be a two week transition period from 31 August to 11 September during which learners may choose to wear either the full Winter or full Summer uniform. From MONDAY 14 SEPTEMBER all learners must be dressed in the FULL SUMMER UNIFORM.

COMPULSORY SCHOOL FEES – 2015

The school fee tariff is R7 400 per learner .

Please ensure that a minimum of R5 920.00 (R740 x 8 months) has been paid by end of August in order to avoid being handed over to our debt collectors.

Payments may be made in cash, by cheque or via electronic banking. The school’s banking details are as follows: Standard Bank, Northcliff, Current Account Number 002954494, Branch Code 006305. Please use your child’s full name as reference.
