I recommend that you take care of the minute, then the hours will take care of themselves.  - Lord Chesterfield

EDUCATION IS SERIOUS

Embrace the concepts of praise and blame with regard to your child. Both are developmental. I would like to appeal to parents to please honour the 50/50 relationship that we as educators and parents should have. Our numbers in the classrooms have increased considerably and even though we are only three weeks into the first term I have already issued detentions to learners who are disruptive and a number who have a very poor work ethic, (no work done). Parents should address this at home because we can only make good educational progress if the teachers have the co-operation of all the learners in class. Everybody has a right to an education but alongside that we have a lot of responsibilities (Code of Conduct). Please check diaries on a daily basis and sign them. I would appreciate your co-operation in this matter.
