Always praise and reinforce positive behaviour and attitude. However, the converse also applies – you must apply sanctions against poor/unacceptable behaviour and negative attitude. Parents are often quick with the first and are reluctant with the second to the ultimate detriment of the child.

Parents Evening for Foundation Phase and Senior Phase will take place on Thursday 17 March. PLEASE NOTE that this is not the time for an in depth discussion with educators. Should you feel that this is required, please contact the school secretary early in Term 2 to arrange a meeting with the teacher concerned.

SCHOOL CLOSING

PARENTS PLEASE NOTE THAT SCHOOL WILL CLOSE AT 10:00 on Friday 18 March and will open for Term 2 on Tuesday 5 April.

SCHOOL CODE OF CONDUCT

All learners are to abide by the provisions of the Code of Conduct and it is the parents’ responsibility to ensure compliance. Copies of the Code are available from the school secretary.

COMPULSORY SCHOOL FEES – 2016

The school fee tariff is R7 900 per learner per year.

Payment options are as follows:
• School fees are due and payable annually in advance at the beginning of the year.
OR
• Ten equal instalments of R790 commencing
January and ending October.

Failure to pay any single instalment by due date; will result in the full amount outstanding becoming due and payable immediately.

Payments may be made in cash, by cheque or via electronic banking. The school’s banking details are as follows: Standard Bank, Northcliff, Current Account Number 002954494, Branch Code 006305. Please
use your child’s full name as reference.

APPLICATIONS FOR ENROLMENTS – 2017

Application Forms for 2017 will be available from Monday 11 April 2016 at the office and parents may return completed forms from Tuesday 19 April. A very serious request is made to parents NOT to encourage friends, relatives etc. who live outside our immediate area to apply for space at our school. Our school is always oversubscribed and we must all co-operate to keep learner numbers in check, in order to control the learner : teacher ratio at the school. Addresses and place of work will be verified.

EDUCATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Educators must ensure that they encourage and endeavour to maintain learner involvement in the activities of the school.

E-MAIL ADDRESSES

If parents e-mail addresses have changed in the last 6 months please notify the secretaries urgently on (011) 793-7434/5, as we are getting a large number of e-mails being undelivered.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

As from the beginning of the winter uniform period the school tie will now have a school badge on it. The plain navy tie is no longer to be worn, however the current Grade 7 learners may wear their old tie for this season. Thank you for your co-operation.

Practice Times: Mondays – U9, U10 & U11’s: 14:15 – 15:15 ; U12 & U13’s: 15:00 – 16:30.
Fridays – U9, U10 & U11’s: 13:45 – 15:15 ; U12 & U13’s: 15:30 – 17:00.
Games: Thursday – date, venue and times will be confirmed at the Monday practice each week. Parents are asked to
please buy the school rugby jersey at R300 each as well as a gum guard for each child. Please either send your child
