Parenting:  “The ladder of success works just like any other ladder; very few have climbed it with their hands in their pockets.”Anon

EDUCATION

It is essential that you have discussed your child’s Learner Report for Term 3 with your child, particularly if the results are not what you want them to be. This term is the last opportunity your child will have to improve his/her overall year mark. Where children are not doing well, parents must take a firm stance and insist on more effort – monitor homework, check their books often, ensure that classwork tasks/projects are completed and on time, ensure that Grades 4 – 7 study for the exams, etc. Above all, do not be afraid to take punitive steps should the child not comply – time is running out for 2014.

AGM

The AGM will take place on Wednesday 22 October at 19:00 in the school hall. A reminder to parents that we need a quorum of at least 15% (± 214 parents) in order to go ahead on the 22 October 2014.
