EDUCATION IS SERIOUS

Perseverance is an integral part of success.  Parents must encourage their children to persevere even in difficult times.  Perseverance builds character.

SCHOOL CODE OF CONDUCT

All learners are to abide by the provisions of the Code of Conduct and it is the parents’ responsibility to ensure compliance.  Copies of the Code are available from the school secretary.

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Parents must ensure that they provide the school upon request, with the original birth certificate of the child, particularly at the time of the initial enrolment into the school system.

SCHOOL RULES

Learners must never do anything to jeopardise the fine name of the school, by word or deed.

EDUCATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Educators must ensure that they adhere to the Code of Conduct set out by the official educator registering body/authority, i.e. South African Council of Educators.

LEARNER RESPONSIBILITIES

Learners undertake to conform to normal, acceptable standards of personal cleanliness and neatness.

SCHOOL LEAVERS

Should your child be leaving the school at year end (grade 1 – 6), please forward a letter to this effect to the class teacher urgently.

40 YEARS

Rand Park Primary celebrated our 40th birthday on Saturday, 26 October 2013.  It was a huge success and great fun was had by all.  I would like to thank all the parents that contributed items as well as cash donations towards the day!  It was greatly appreciated.  To all the parents and staff members who assisted on the day, thank you for all your help and hard work.

SPECIAL thanks goes to Kevin and Angela Elliot as well as Natalie Franz who put in a tremendous amount of effort to make this day such a success.  It is greatly appreciated

COMPULSORY SCHOOL FEES – 2013

The school fee tariff is R5 900 per learner per year, and may be paid over 10 months.  Payment options are as follows:

Full payment at the beginning of the year; or Three pro-rata payments payable at the end of Term 1 2 and 3; or ten monthly instalments of R590 beginning January with the final (10th) instalment due end of October.

ALL PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE PAID IN FULL BY THE END OF OCTOBER.  AN URGENT APPEAL IS MADE TO ALL PARENTS WHO ARE IN ARREARS TO PAY THE FEES BY THIS TIME.  ACCOUNTS IN ARREARS WILL BE HANDED OVER TO OUR DEBT-COLLECTION AGENCY FROM THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER.

OLD DEBTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN HANDED OVER.

EXTRA MURALS – TERM 4

ALL extra murals will finish this Friday, 1 November.  No detention will be held on 8 November.  Would parents please ensure that their children leave school immediately after school.

CLOSING TIMES DURING EXAMS

As from Friday, 8 November, the school will close at 12:00 daily.  Parents are requested to make transport arrangements in order for the learners to get home early and study.  Learners who are waiting for transport will not be allowed to loiter around outside the school; they will have to remain inside the school perimeter until their transport arrives.

CLEANER’S CHRISTMAS HAMPER

It is a tradition at our school that parents contribute towards a Christmas Hamper for our cleaning staff as a way of conveying to them our sincere thanks for the wonderful work they do during the course of the year.  It will be greatly appreciated if each learner could bring to school one or more non perishable items as a contribution.

The Grade 3s are looking for a toy sheep or lamb to use in the Christmas play.  It must be large enough to be seen by the audience.  If you have a suitable toy sheep that we may borrow, please contact Mrs Michas.
