EDUCATION IS SERIOUS

Parents can instil excellence in their children by making it a habit.  Don’t allow your children to deliver anything but their best effort, and they must continue to deliver their best efforts over and over again until it becomes habit.

TEXT BOOKS

Will not be issued to learners next year if they did not return all their books this year.  Missing/lost textbooks require a payment of R150 per book, to the school.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT

Sincere thanks to all those who were involved in the Christmas Pageant this year.  The performances by the Grade 3s and the Choir were outstanding and the evenings were thoroughly enjoyed by all.  A big thank you to all for your generous donations which will be donated to a worthy cause.

GRADE 7 BARNDANCE

Sincere thanks to Mrs Ogle and the Grade 7 educators for this year’s very successful Barn Dance.  Fun was had by all.  Thanks too, to all those parents who assisted with donations and with decorating the hall.

COMPULSORY SCHOOL FEES – 2013

ALL PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE PAID IN FULL BY THE END OF OCTOBER.  AN URGENT APPEAL IS MADE TO ALL PARENTS WHO ARE IN ARREARS TO PAY THE FEES BY THIS TIME.  ACCOUNTS IN ARREARS HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO OUR DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY.

BARGAIN BIN

Please note that for the duration of the exams the Bargain Bin will be open from 12:00 – 12:30 on Wednesdays.

CLOSING TIMES DURING EXAMS

School will close at 12:00 daily until 4th December.   Parents are requested to make transport arrangements in order for the learners to get home early and study.  Learners who are waiting for transport will not be allowed to loiter around outside the school; they will have to remain inside the school perimeter until their transport arrives.

CLEANER’S CHRISTMAS HAMPER

It is a tradition at our school that parents contribute towards a Christmas Hamper for our cleaning staff as a way of conveying to them our sincere thanks for the wonderful work they do during the course of the year.  It will be greatly appreciated if each learner could bring to school one or more non perishable items as a contribution.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Learners will be allowed to wear the badgeless jersey till the end of March.  At the beginning of April ALL learners should be wearing the new jersey.

SCHOOL CODE OF CONDUCT

All learners are to abide by the provisions of the Code of Conduct and it is the parents’ responsibility to ensure compliance.  Copies of the Code are available from the school secretary.

LEARNER RESPONSIBILITIES

Learners undertake to do all academic assignments and activities including homework.

SCHOOL RULES

Rough play/games are not permitted on the fields; the educator on playground duty will use his/her discretion in this regard.

EDUCATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Educators must ensure that they abide by the rules, regulations and procedures set out by the school and GDE authorities.

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Parents must ensure that they bring to the attention of the school management any problem, condition or circumstances which affects their child or other children or persons in the school community.
