Society and the world of work operate on a set of rules. It’s important that parents make it clear to their children that rules at home and at school are there to be obeyed. One cannot choose which to obey and which to ignore. It doesn’t even matter if they make sense or not. The life lesson is to learn to be obedient to the laws of the nation/society and this lesson is learned in school, by learners obeying all the school rules. Parents have a critical role to play in this regard and must enforce obedience to home and school rules.
