Don’t make me feel my mistakes are sins. Help me get it right and not make the same mistake again - 21 Memos from your child

Always praise and reinforce positive behaviour and attitude. However, the converse also applies – you must apply sanctions against poor/unacceptable behaviour and negative attitude. Parents are often quick with the first and are reluctant with the second to the ultimate detriment of the child.

There are no more Group Tests for this term.

Application Forms for 2017 will be available from Monday 11 April 2016 at the office and parents may return completed forms from Tuesday 19 April. A very serious request is made to parents NOT to encourage friends, relatives etc. who live outside our immediate area to apply for space at our school. Our school is always oversubscribed and we must all co-operate to keep learner numbers in check, in order to control the learner : teacher ratio at the school. Addresses and place of work will be verified.

Educators must ensure that they encourage and endeavour to maintain learner involvement in the activities of the school.

If parents e-mail addresses have changed in the last 6 months please notify the secretaries urgently on (011) 793-7434/5, as we are getting a large number of e-mails being undelivered.

As from the beginning of the winter uniform period the school tie will now have a school badge on it. The plain navy tie is no longer to be worn, however the current Grade 7 learners may wear their old tie for this season. Thank you for your co-operation.
