Learners should understand school and teaching thus; what is offered in the class should be seen as a valuable gift, not a hard duty -Albert Einstein

The above quote illustrates the attitude required by all learners to ensure academic and lifelong success. Too many learners regard the school environment as a chore
and approach their work with a negative attitude. It’s not possible for every lesson, every interaction, every school day to be exciting and fun-filled. This is not always the nature of the task at school or in the world of work. The life skill lies in continuing to be positive and to do your best when things are not to your liking.

Tuesday 16 February
Grade 4 – 7: Social Science
Due to the Grade 7s being away at camp they will write Natural Science on FRIDAY 19TH February.
The Tuesday Group Test is very important as it makes up in
Grade 4 – 6, 30% and in Grade 7, 40% of the year mark.
Learners must attend school on Tuesdays.

Consumable stock R53 942, computer related expenses R8 552, Foundation Phase books R2 377, kitchen supplies R1 395, Metro Services R17 024, hardware & maintenance R2 473.

Learners who wish to wear civvies to school on this day, are expected to pay R5 for the privilege. There is absolutely no compulsion to participate and those who would prefer not to, must wear their full school uniform. Would parents of those wishing to wear civvies, please ensure that the children are dressed decorously.

An appeal to parents to please check homework and homework diaries on a daily basis. The learners have work to do on a daily basis even if it is doing revision for the Group Test. I am already signing TOO many detention slips for poor work ethic or disruptive behaviour. When a detention slip is produced at home I would appreciate it
if the matters on the slip is dealt with by the parents.
Thank you for your co-operation in this regard.
