EDUCATION – If I Could Teach You, Teacher

If I could teach you, teacher

I’d teach you how much more

you have accomplished

than you think you have.

I’d show you the seeds

you planted years ago

that are now coming into bloom.

I’d reveal to you the young minds

that have expanded under your care,

the hearts that are serving others

because they had you as a role model.

If I could teach you, teacher,

I’d show you the positive effect

you have had on me and my life.

Your homework is

to know your value to the world,

to acknowledge it, to believe it.

Thank you, teacher.

Please take note of our Exam Timetable – All the info can be found here.

EXAMS

Exams start on Tuesday 11 June.  As a previous letter stated, the school will close at 12 o’clock for all Grades.  I appeal to parents to please arrange transport for their children.  Learners will not be allowed to leave the premises and loiter around in the streets.  Learners will be kept inside the school perimeter until their transport arrives.

GOOD LUCK  to all Grade 4 – 7 learners for the exams.  Success is just around the corner.  Study hard and you will reap the benefits.

COMPULSORY SCHOOL FEES – 2013

The school fee tariff is R5 900 per learner per year, and may be paid over 10 months.  Payment options are as follows:

Full payment at the beginning of the year; or Three pro-rata payments payable at the end of Term 1 2 and 3; or ten monthly instalments of R590 beginning January with the final (10th) instalment due end of October.

Many thanks to those parents who have already made their contribution towards the school fees.  It is greatly appreciated!

SPONSORSHIP

Would those of you wishing to make a cash sponsorship donation (to assist indigent parents/learners to pay a portion of the 2013 school fees), please ensure that you indicate clearly on the cheque, deposit slip, Internet banking or envelope, that the amount is for SPONSORSHIP (SCHOOL FEES).

We thank the following parents/businesses for their sponsorship:

Mr R Weimar for his generous donation of 3 Lap Tops for our Foundation Phase Educators.

RHINO CAMPAIGN

Thanks to all parents and learner who contributed to our “Save the Rhino” Campaign.  The response was fabulous and we really do appreciate it.

40 YEARS

As the school is 40 YEARS old this year I would like to ask parents to support any initiative that we might have in order to celebrate this auspicious occasion.  The raffle is taking place this term and books were distributed to learners today.  Last year’s raffle was a great success and I once again ask for your support with this initiative.  Thanking you in advance.

DONATIONS

The Grade 3 teachers require new costumes for the Christmas play at the end of the year.  Should there be any parents who are able to assist with donations in the form of costumes/sewing expertise and/or monetary donations for the purchase of the required items, please contact Mrs Michas at the school.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
